PATHWAY TO HOMEOWNERSHIP
Project Renaissance programming was created to address specific needs voiced within our Black community. We chose the name Renaissance because it means renewal and new beginnings, which reflects Erie’s Black Wall Street’s mission and vision.The Pathway to Homeownership Program provides education that addresses the basics of what it takes to purchase a home. The webinars focus on credit, renting vs. buying, the roles of realtors, budgeting and the mortgage process. Those attending will learn about the homebuying programs available to first-time homebuyers*. *This year EBWS’ Signature Jubilee will gift 3 individuals with $7,000 each towards the purchase of their first home in the City of Erie (down-payment or closing costs). The individual winners are chosen by a randomized drawing. In order to participate in the drawing you MUST attendant ALL FOUR workshops in its entirety, be 21 years of age or older, have a minimum credit score of 575, and buy a home before November of 2023.
